This Campaign serves as a reminder that comparison has the power to kill.
By utilizing multiple platforms (such as print, social media, and augmented reality) the viewer can interact with graphics that bring awareness to the toxicity that comparison really is.
The wide expanse of this campaign reminds us that comparison affects everyone, everywhere, in so many different ways. The purpose of this campaign is simply to interact with everyone, everywhere, and in so many different ways.
Each piece of this campaign represents a way that comparison can kill, in hopes that the viewer will be able to recognize the areas in which they are giving comparison too much power in their lives.
Animated Graphic for Video Based Social Media Platforms:
I wanted to bring my illustration to life and create a way that my target audience (teenagers and young millennials) will best interact with it. Video bases social media platforms are extremely popular right now, so why not utilize them and deliver an important message via the very platform that people are comparing themselves on.
Instagram Post:
By posting this design on social media, I am hoping to open up a conversation within the viewer. This particular illustration represents exactly what the viewer is doing while scrolling through social media. Comparing.
Interactive Poster:
I wanted to create a poster that opened up to the viewer... literally. Once the viewer scans the QR code on the poster, it takes them to an app that then shows this augmented reality poster/animation. This piece plays into the idea of the viewer being directly impacted by excessive substance use due to comparison.
Magazine:
One of the ways comparison kills is through Eating Disorders. I created this illustration based off of the toxicity of chasing a specific body. A body that is photoshopped and not even attainable. I wanted to create this specific graphic to be put in a magazine to remind the viewer of the magazine that comparison damages you more than you think.
